Sourced profiles stop outside verified coverage. They never guess missing holidays.

How adding business days works

The default calculation begins on the civil day after the start. Every date is checked against the profile’s working weekdays and closure list. A date with one or more exclusion reasons is skipped once.

Boundary rule: selecting Include start lets the starting date satisfy the first business day only when no exclusion reason applies.

Verify a consequential deadline

Government, court, contract, payroll, and filing rules may define business days differently. Confirm consequential deadlines against the controlling rule and current official closures.

Questions people ask

Does the starting date count?

It counts only when Include start is selected and the starting date is a business day. The default excludes the start.

What happens when the amount is zero?

Zero business days returns the starting date unchanged.

Are weekends always Saturday and Sunday?

The built-in profiles use Monday through Friday. The calculator evaluates the working weekdays stored in the selected profile.
